I'm sure I'll feel stupid once I hear the answer, but try as I might I can't find the setting, button or hot key to completely remove my picture from the presentation.

All I'm doing is training on how to use a software package. I want to record only what's on my screen -- as I move my mouse around -- and my voice. In your first training video you (Dan) removed yourself from the recording and it looked like you did that by clicking something or hitting a key.

How do I do that?

I managed to create a work-around to accomplish what I wanted.

1. I set up the green screen to the right of my computer (hung the cloth on a small area of a wall).

2. I took the camera off the top of my laptop screen and placed it on the desk to my right -- pointing it to the green screen.

3. Added a clip-on desk lamp to get enough light on the green screen.

4. Recorded videos normally.

This basically allows me to type on my laptop without my face being seen by the camera, since it's pointed at the blank green-screen cloth.

That being said, is there a better way to do this when you have about 100 screen-capture-only training videos to produce?

Thanks,

Gill

The workaround that you are currently using is the best way to produce a screen capture-type video with Instant Video Presenter. There is not currently a feature that allows you to remove yourself from the screen if you are in front of the camera.

As far as a better way, it sounds like you've set up a fairly optimal recording environment to produce screen capture videos. I would keep doing what your doing and it will get smoother and smoother for you as you continue to produce videos.
